Mad Lust : alldressedup

After a meeting in Orchard Road this morning, I made the mistake of wandering into local label alldressedup's section at Isetan Scotts.

Madness ensued as I went on a necklace-trying rampage. How could I not when the entire SS09 accessories collection contained my favourite ruffles, pleats, ruffles and RUFFLES!!
I am so desperately coveting the dreamy blue suede piece (above, S$178) so I can wear it with these mighty fine Finsk shoes:

According to Vogue UK, all the suede necklaces can be put through a 40-degree wash without falling to bits. Now, none of the staff mentioned this at the store so this means the necklaces certainly deserve a second look :)

T.G.I.F.

I'm a pretty bag loyal person - primarily due to my laziness in swapping around my usually massive bags (I'm just not a small bag person). As such, I've only got 6-7 bags in rotation... as compared to my innumerable pairs of shoes :P

Right now I'm trying to moderate use of my rose and brown Roxannes as the latter (pet-named 'Betsy' by galpal B for its resemblance to a calf) is starting to look a little worn.

This is a bit of a nothing post but I just HAVE to publicly declare my immense fondness of this recent Foley + Corinna purchase (which has not left my side for over a week) :

Lapis jersey dress from Country Road, Alldressedup necklace,
Midnight patent Foley + Corinna City Tote and Peeptoe Booties from FINSK

TGIF everyone... the loooong CNY weekend awaits :)

Where's Your Bag?

Image: Notcouture.com

I'm intrigued by the idea of a statement necklace-bag. Like dresses with pockets, this eliminates the need to carry a purse on a big night out!

Recently came across a mini-purse-necklace at Miu Miu but that was retailing at about S$500 and, more importantly, looked a kitsch little cardholder with a metallic hardware strap.

This white leather necklace-bag by Icelandic designer Eyglo Margret Larusdottir is a cool
alternative. It can be worn around the neck (as shown) or on the side, pageant-style. The best bit? The design, whilst intriguing, is inobtrusive enough to wear with any plain tees or dresses to create a host of timeless new outfits! Retails for US$165 (here).

Am sorely tempted to get the necklace - it's screaming to be worn with my Finsk shoe-boots (here)!
