The weather is pretty ghastly here right now with rain every.single.day and even landmark-scarring lightning! I thought I'd turn my attention to hunting down a pair of shoes that I'd be happy sloshing through a storm in. Also, lugging emergency flipflops everywhere these days is starting to annoy me...
How about these lovelies from Brazilian rubber shoe house Melissa? British casual footwear company, F-troupe, has also come up with their variation in a preppy sneaker style with trendy cut-outs (for water drainage perchance?) , which seems more practical but no less cool than the Melissa ones. They're also humorously called Bathing Shoes! (here)
Of course on the other end of the price spectrum, one could rainproof an outfit in Marni, See By Chloe, Givenchy and even Prada:
