OK I give up and accept the 80s trend - especially now that Marc Jacobs has rolled out a FW09 collection that continues his Stephen Sprouse inspiration. Gear up for more Crayola neon brights, big shoulders and flock-of-seagulls-BIG hair!I still love his SS09 Americana collection which mish-mashed trends of obi belts, metallics, straw hats and plaid. This Fw09 turn is cheeky rebellion against our sombre economic realities.
He may have scaled down the list of attendees to his show, but certainly made up for that with a blinding use of colours - bold purple and electric blue, green and bright pink, with pops of lemon yellow for extra retro kitsch.
What I LOVE about this show is every single model styled with different hair & makeup! *applause*
