Thinking Ahead

It's only Spring/Summer now but I'm totally digging these "affordable couture" coats by Lia Lintern, a former structural aerospace engineer.

She's got a great attention to detail - I love how she's employed corsetry to give a nipped waist in the aubergine Yulana (above). My favourite is the dove grey Anna K (below) with its side closure and subtle pin-tucking.

All her coats are made from cashmere and cashmere-wool blends with silk linings, and each can be customized to your personal measurements - which, in my mind, totally justifies the price!

I wouldn't be surprised if these turned up on Gossip Girl. No more ubiquitous big black sacks this winter for me!
